Foresight Institute Microgrants and Conference in Puerto Rico

We're attending Foresight's 2024 Vision Weekend in San Juan Puerto Rico.

This year, in addition to a sustaining donation, thanks to our generous donors we were able to sponsor 5 $10k micro-grants for Foresight Community initiatives.

Foresight is famous for convening nerds thinking deeply about some of our most sci-fi frontiers. The org was founded in the 80's around Eric Drexler's nanotechnology work. Some of us have been attending Foresight events since 2007. Christine Peterson, the founder, known for coining the term "Open Source" has now passed the torch to a younger generation of leaders and community builders.

We also attended their SF vision weekend and several of their AI and security convenings this year as well as many in the past.
