Journalism and Election Monitoring in Hybrid Warfare Conflict Zones

We have several initiatives to facilitate funding, oversee grants and support independent journalists in conflict regions where they or their funders can be arrested for performing basic work. For the protection of staff or partner organizations working on these projects and the privacy of donors we generally do not disclose these initiatives.
All work we do comes with no strings attached. For our regular public media grants, this means for example that we do not attempt to tell Zvi what to say when writing about AI, nor Ideas Beyond Borders when writing about the middle east.
In general governments fight to keep foreign media and propaganda out of their countries, while at the same time working to influence other countries. Our efforts work to fight for mutual accountability and transparency, and integrity, and investigative journalism.
While we don't work with USAID, some organizations we've appreciated in the past were effected by grants, and so we encourage donors to visit Emergency Assistance for select NGO's affected by USAID
See Civic, Social and Govtech Grantmaking for more information on other grants.
